Sometimes we have to remove particular product and there is no other choice without it. As we all know that adding a product in store takes time but when the times comes to delete, it takes single click.

There is no doubt that it is very simple to remove any product however we should focus on some things while erasing a product. Here are:

Notify Third Parties

When you planned to pull any product, you should inform to buyers because they may be needs to know that you are planning not to sale that product in long time. But do all this process as soon as possible if you have limited stock for that product. So, let them know that product is going away.

If product is not much ordered on your store or there is possibility of coming back again then you need not to inform for that product.

Hide the Product Page

When the products are out of stock, on that case you should hide the product page. You need not to delete that product page. The reasons behind is that for set up redirects, you need that product page URL.

Set up a URL redirect

When you hide the product page then it does not mean that it has been deleted from search engine automatically. It means that the product page still have traffic. So, don’t loss that traffic and redirect that page to similar products as soon as possible.

Archive the Product Data

You should keep the all product page information such as UPC no. dimensions etc. It can be useful in future. Make a Google sheet and keep all data in that file.

Move slowly while deleting products

Don’t be in a hurry while deleting product. If you go slowly then you can keep yourself out of troubles and complications.
